Dr. Hossein Jahanshahloo

Dr Hossein Jahanshahloo is an associate professor of financial technology at Alliance Manchester Business School Prior to this he held the position of assistant professor of finance in Cardiff Business School, University of Cardiff. He completed his MSc and PhD in Finance and his BSc in Computer Software Engineering. Prior to his academic career, he worked in financial industry for 5 years. His research interests include Blockchain Technology, Cryptocurrencies, Market Microstructure, and Algorithmic and High Frequency Trading. He is the founder and creator of Cardiff University Bitcoin Database (CUBiD). CUBiD is the first platform of its kind that allow its users to access structured raw and post-processed Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies data and removes the complex technological barriers for academics, regulators, and practitioners, who are interested in utilising the wealth of information in cryptocurrencies’ network data. He is an associate editor at the journal of Research in International Business and Finance.
